MAGNOLIA, Ark. - The University of Dallas men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Dan Veach Invitational on Saturday.

Senior Nico Walz was unavailable on the men's side, and Brenda Chicas and Melissa Gabino were unavailable for the women.

James Latour ran the 5000m for the men, recording a season PR of 18:38.38 after duking it out with Graycen Vargo of Jacksonville College.  Vargo came in at 18:26.80.

On the women's side, Bailey Haas ran the 200m in 28.02, placing 13th, then made her debut in the 400m and placed eighth with a time of 1:03.59.  Teresa Cashen ran the 400m and 800m and posted collegiate PR's in both, recording times of 1:07.05 and 2:42.95, respectively.

"This is a meet we like to go to every year," said head coach Nick Schneigert.  "It's low key and the competition is very level with us.  The weather was gorgeous, and this helped us build as we get closer to conference where I hope we can get some PR's."
