McGuirk and Rawicki Break Indoor School Records at Texas Tech Shootout

LUBBOCK, Texas – Joseph Rawicki (Midland, Texas) broke the 200 Meters Indoor school record with a 23.57 time on Friday at the Texas Tech Shootout. Rawicki made his collegiate debut with the program and broke the previous mark of 24.0 held by Barton Holdridge at the UCO Indoor on February 8, 2014.

On Saturday, Kevin McGuirk (Front Royal, Va.) collected a pair of best times with the program's first results for the events with the 60 Meter Hurdles (9.32) and the 600 Yard Run (1:21.58). McGuirk also ran a 7.69 mark in the 60 Meter Dash and was in the 4x400 Meter Relay, which was a first team indoor event for UD to compete in.

Samuel McLard (Flower Mound, Texas) joined McGuirk in the 60 Meter Dash with a time of 9.38 seconds. 

Rawicki led a trio of Crusaders in the 200 Meter Dash with a 23.57 result. Dominic Engbarth (Magnolia, Texas) and McLard ran a 28.00 and 31.48, respectively. Rawicki and Shivam Mishra (Jamshedpur, India) contributed times in the 400 Meter Dash. 

Rawicki, Caleb Clayton (Kerrville, Texas), Mishra, and McGuirk competed in the 4x400 Meter Relay with a 3:54.18 time. 

Clayton, Engbarth, McLard joined Rawicki in running in their first collegiate track and field meet. All UD participants were in their first indoor race since the team last competed in 2014.
