McGuirk Competed at NCC Gregory Final Qualifier on Thursday

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Kevin McGuirk (Front Royal, Va.) from the University of Dallas men's track and field team competed on Thursday evening for one last push at making Nationals in the 400 Meters Hurdles race at the NCC Gregory Final Qualifier hosted by North Central College. McGuirk unfortunately came up short of his end result after he finished with a time of 57.97, but the senior will have one more year of eligibility next season to get another shot at Nationals.

McGuirk helped cement his name in the UD history boards this season after he captured gold in the 400 Meters Hurdles at the 2019 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championship in San Antonio on April 28th with a 54.84 time. That mark broke the school record in the event for the fifth straight time this spring. McGuirk became the second male track athlete in program history to garner a first-place finish in the conference championships.
