McGuirk Sets School Record in 400 Hurdles Race at East Texas Invitational

COMMERCE, Texas - The University of Dallas men's track and field team competed at the East Texas Invitational hosted by Texas A&M Commerce on Friday. Kevin McGuirk (Front Royal, Va.) set a school record and a new Personal Record (PR) for the fourth straight meet in the 400 Meter hurdles with a time of 56.41 which was good enough for eighth place.

- McGuirk also grabbed a PR in the 110 hurdles race finishing at the 17.22 mark. He also made his career-debut in the 100-meter race with a time of 11.63. He has now competed in 11 different events for the Crusaders in three seasons.

- Kai Warner set a PR in the 100-meter with a 12.63.

- Rashid Coombs (Houston, Texas) made his debut in the 200-meter race. He finished with a time of 23.54.

- The Men's 4x100 relay team which consisted of Coombs, McGuirk, Warner, and Isaiah Hayes (Arlington, Texas) finished with a time of 45.79 for 12th place.

Dallas will compete at the SCAC Championships hosted by Trinity University April 26-27 in San Antonio.
