Men's Track and Field completes Day 1 of SCAC Championship

SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas men's track and field team competed in the first day of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championship on Friday.

Joseph Kilmer (Rockville, Md.) ran a personal record (PR) 10:21.84 in his second time competing the 3,000 Meter Steeplechase. Marcos Carmona (San Antonio, Texas) threw 33.23 Meters in the Hammer Throw. Both competitors finished one spot behind scoring in their respective events.

Currently host Texas Lutheran University is ahead with 80 points. Trinity is right behind with 76. The remaining trio of teams in the standings: Southwestern University, Colorado College, and Dallas have less than 20.
