Men's Track and Field Results at Marc Randle Classic

TYLER, Texas – The University of Dallas men's track and field team competed in its second competition this spring at the Marc Randle Classic hosted by University of Texas at Tyler.

Joseph Kilmer (Rockville, Md.) led a trio of Crusaders in the first 5k this spring with a 16:39.03 for eighth. That time was 0.03 shy of tying his 5k personal record (PR) at the Hardin-Simmons Invitational last fall.

Joseph Boyle (St. Paul, Minn.) and John James (Metairie, La.) also ran in the 5k.

Prince Giadolor (Rockwall, Texas) finished in the top-20 (19th) out of 39 racers with a time of 11.58 in the 100 Meter-Dash.

Kevin McGuirk (Front Royal, Va.) notched a PR in the 400 Meter Hurdles (1:00.17). He also leaped a season-best distance in the long jump (5.43m).

Dallas had a couple athletes improve from their spring debut a week ago. Shivam Mishra (Jamshedpur, India) and Peter Dinh (Grand Prairie, Texas) ran season-bests in the 800 Meters at 2:26.56 and 2:27.08, respectively.

Cecilio Huitron (El Paso, Texas) made his debut in the 200 Meter-Dash (25.72). He also scored a PR in the long jump with a 5.12m.

Charles Obegolu (Dallas, Texas) improved in his second meet to do Shot Put with an 8.76m. Daniel Layton also improved in his second appearance that event with a 7.32m.

Isaiah Hayes (Arlington, Texas) made his first track and field appearance in the Long Jump. He is another dual-athlete that comes from men's basketball.  

UP NEXT

Dallas is off the next two weeks before starting a stretch of three meets in consecutive weeks. The War Hawk Classic, which is another competition from last season, will be held on March 23rd.
