Men's Track and Field Marc Randle Classic Results

BULLARD, Texas – On Friday the University of Dallas men's track and field team competed in the Marc Randle Classic hosted by University of Texas at Tyler. This meet featured several teams from varies levels. The NCAA Division III schools including: host UT-Tyler, fellow Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) team Austin College, McMurry University, Hendrix College, LeTourneau University, and East Texas Baptist University.

NCAA Division II Southern Arkansas University came away with first place as a team with 119 points. Wiley College came in second with 81 points and McMurry completed the top three at 68.50 points.  

For the Crusaders, Prince Giadolor (Rockwall, Texas) made his spring debut with an 11.42 time in the 100 Meters for 8thplace. The men's basketball dual athlete headlined Dallas with a top 10 finish out of 43 runners in the event he is the reigning SCAC Champion on.

NOTABLE RESULTS

- Other players debuting in the meet for their careers were: Darrius Colvin (Waco, Texas), Tyrone Richardson (Waco, Texas), Johnathan Page (DeSoto, Texas), and Parker Lister (Plano, Texas). Along with Giadolor this quintet of men's basketball dual athletes competed Friday first time this year.

- Colvin, Richardson, Page, and Giadolor did the 4x100m Relays (team's first race of campaign). Lister was in the high jump.

- Paulo Salazar (Dallas, Texas) shattered a personal record (PR) on each of his Discus Throws and eventually finished with a 34.88m distance. The senior claimed 10th overall.

- Frank Villanueva (Anthem, Ariz.) shaved nine seconds (2:19 minutes) off his previous 800m time at the TLU Bulldog Relays.

- John James (Metairie, La.) PR'd in the 1500m, improving by 17 seconds (4:28) from a week ago at the Trinity Open.

- Jack Grubner (Needham, Mass.) appeared in the 1500m for the first time this season. He kept pace with James garnering a 4:29 time.

- Dominic Del Curto (Oakdale, Calif.) clocked a 63.15 in the 400m Hurdles, running as fast as he had up until the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championship last spring.

- Kevin McGuirk (Front Royal, Va.) ran a PR in the 400m Hurdles (65:62) and debuted on the Long Jump with a 5.49m leap.
