SEASON IN REVIEW: Men's Track and Field

IRVING, Texas – Head Coach Matt Barber completed his second season with the men's track and field team. Prince Giadolor (Rockwall, Texas) earned the program's first ever U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region and Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Newcomer of the Year Honors. The men's basketball duel sport athlete also captured the Crusaders' first SCAC Championship in an event – the 100 Meter Dash.

Besides Giadolor's emergence late in the spring, Dallas enjoyed seven all-conference winners and notched six school records. One of those top figures broke the previous mark set in the program's inaugural season in 1908 when the institution was referred to as Holy Trinity College. That event was the Hammer Throw, and Marcus Carmona (San Antonio, Texas) threw 31.28 Meters. Additionally, UD earned fourth place at the SCAC Championships with 44 points.
