Giadolor Competed in Sam Houston State University Last Chance

HUNTSVILLE, Texas – Freshman Prince Giadolor (Rockwall, Texas) competed in the Sam Houston University Last Chance on Saturday at Huntsville's Bowers Stadium. Giadolor looks at one final opportunity to crack the top 20 (DIII) in those events to qualify for the NCAA National Championships.

Giadolor ran a 11.12 in the 100m and 22.54 in the 200m to represent the Crusaders in a field that featured Division I opponents such as: Grambling University, Southeastern Louisiana University, McNeese University, Central Arkansas University, and host school Sam Houston. Among Division II foes included: Texas A&M-Commerce University and Southern Arkansas University.

Giadolor became the first member of the UD men's track and field program to earn a gold medal at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) three weeks ago. The feat was achieved in the 100m with a time of 10.87 seconds.

Giadolor's personal record on the 100m was the previous day in the qualifier with a 10.83 mark. The SCAC 100m champion ranked atop of the SCAC Outdoor Performance List on Track & Field Results Reporting System (TFRRS) all spring after joining the Crusaders. His first collegiate competition was at the McMurry War Hawk Classic on March 25 with a 10.84 second result. That performance gave him SCAC Athlete of the Week.

Giadolor checks into the 200m for third place in the SCAC Performance List with a 21.87 time in the SCAC Track and Field Championships Final. That result had broken a school record for the second day in a row, as Giadolor qualified the previous day with a 22.16 time to etch his name in the books.

Both top three finishes landed Giadolor on the All-Conference Teams in those events.
