Men's Track and Field Trinity Open Results on Saturday

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Dallas men's track and field team competed in the Trinity Open this past weekend. It was one of the larger competitions, as all but one NCAA Division III (UT-Tyler) program from Texas competed. Senior Ryan McAnany (Kanas City, Kan.) headlined the big field for UD, notching two top 10 finishes on individual events with personal records (PRs).

NOTABLE RESULTS

- McAnany secured fourth place in the 1500m with a 4:08 minute race that tied the PR he set last season. There were 53 competitors in that event.

- The senior distance runner ran a 2:01 in the 800m to set a PR. His score earned him 10th place.

- Other runners garnering PRs were senior Jack Grubner (Needham, Mass.) and freshman Caine Mongeau (Little Elm, Texas) in the 1500m. Grubner was timed at a 4:23 minute mark and Mongeau finished at 4:57.

- Senior Jacob Loel (Phoenix, Ariz.) had an 18:04 minute time for his first ever 5k appearance at UD.

- Sophomore Dominic Del Curto (Oakdale, Calif.) made his debute in the 400 meter hurdles with a 1:07.

- On the field, sophomore Maximilian Allen (Oceanside, Calif.) threw a 34.56m showing in the Javelin Throw at his first collegiate appearance for the Navy and White

- Junior Paulo Salazar (Tacoma, Wash.) hit a PR with a 34.30m throw in the Javelin.
