KICKOFF
The University of Dallas men's soccer team will continue its road trip on Friday at Schreiner University at 2 p.m. They will play again on Sunday at No. 6 Trinity University. Kickoff for that match is set for 12 p.m. The Crusaders are coming off a weekend trip to Colorado. The Crusaders (6-3, 5-2 SCAC) beat Johnson & Wales 1-0 in double-overtime on Friday, but then lost a hard-luck match to Colorado College 1-0 on Sunday. UD had its match against Austin College on Wednesday cancelled due to heavy rainfall that fell in the Sherman area. This now marks the second game of the season that has been canceled and will not be rescheduled for Dallas.
UD NOTES
- Andrew Ciancone (Houston, Texas) and Sean Taylor (Austin, Texas) both have three goals on the season for the team-lead.
- Dallas has outshot its opponents 149-80 on the season.
- Sean Carlin (Puyallup, Wash.) leads the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in goals-against average (0.46).
- Carlin also is second in the SCAC in save percentage with a .840.
- Chase Reynolds (Southlake, Texas) leads the Crusaders with three assists.
A LOOK AT THE OPPONENTS
(Schrenier University)
- The Pirates (3-10-2, 2-8-2 SCAC) are coming off a 4-0 loss vs. Southwestern University.
- Trey Brittenum leads Southwestern with five goals on the season.
- Brandon Anselmi has played in 14 games, allowing 30 goals on the campaign.
- Anselmi ranks second in the SCAC with 62 saves.
Schreiner has produced 57 corner kicks in 2018.
- Dallas won the first match-up versus Schreiner University 5-0 in Dallas on September 28. Five different Crusaders scored in the victory, as UD outshot Schreiner 25-7.
