Colorado Springs, Colo. - The University of Dallas men's soccer team lost a hard-luck 1-0 game against Colorado College on Sunday afternoon. Will Malory was able to break the 0-0 tie in the 51st minute after he took a shot from the front of the box that hit the inside of the crossbar and came down to break the plain for the lone-goal of the day. The Crusaders (6-3, 5-2 SCAC) have now lost two tough 1-0 games against the Tigers in 2018.

CC (10-3, 8-2 SCAC) duplicated the same score from the September 9th meeting in Dallas to notch their fifth straight shutout.

Dallas only had three shots in the first half, but Nat Kajiwara (Southlake, Texas) directed a nice shot on goal in the 19th minute that was saved by Keller Mochel. The Tigers had seven shots in the first half, with two of them on goal. Sean Carlin (Puyallup, Wash.) made two nice saves to keep the game even going into halftime.

Dallas outshot CC 8-3 in the second half but were unable to find the back of the net versus Mochel. They made it tough on the keeper through the whole second half. Evan Birsinger (Friendswood, Texas) and Chima Ogueri (Garland, Texas) both had late chances to find the equalizer but were unable to beat the keeper.

A trio of Crusaders had two shots taken in the match. Chase Reynolds (Southlake, Texas), Hunter Haugland (Bixby, Okla.), and Birsinger all tied for the team-lead with two. Reynolds, Ogueri, Kajiwara, and Birsinger each had a shot on goal.

Carlin took the hard-luck loss in goal. He made four saves out of five opportunities on the day playing all 90:00 minutes.

Malory led CC with four shots on the day, putting three of them on goal. Mochel notched another shutout in goal for the Tigers making four saves on the day.
