BACK ON THE FIELD
The University of Dallas Men's Soccer team opens the 2018 season against Sul Ross University at home on Friday, August 31 at 2p.m. The Crusaders will then make the trip on Sunday to Belton to take on University of Mary-Hardin Baylor set to start at 1 p.m.

UD NOTES
Dallas is returning their two leading goal-scorers from last season. Nat Kajiwara (2017 SCAC Newcomer of the Year) shared the team lead in goals last year with 10. Hunter Haugland tied Nat in goals last season. Haughland was voted to the All-SCAC First Team in 2017. Sean Carlin made 53 saves last season playing in 18 games playing in goal. The Crusaders hope to build off last year's run to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championship match by making another run this year.
Dallas (63 votes) was selected third in the SCAC Preseason Poll behind Colorado College (69) and reigning champions Trinity University (81).
A LOOK AT THE OPPONENTS
(Sul Ross State University)
-Sul Ross State University is in its first season of intercollegiate competition.
-They are a member of the American Southwest Conference (ASC).
(University of Mary Hardin-Baylor)
-The Crusaders are coming off a 17-3-1 record in 2017. A 10-1 conference mark in the American Southwest Conference (ASC). They were 2017 ASC Champions and made a Sweet 16 appearance.
-UMHB averaged 1.86 goals scored per game in 2017.
-UMHB was ranked No.16 in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) NCAA Division III Preseason Poll. They are picked one spot above SCAC's Champion Trinity University.
UP NEXT
Dallas will be back at home Friday, September 7 to open up their conference season as they play host to Johnson and Wales University (CO). Johnson and Wales University is a new member of the SCAC in 2018.
