Quintet of Crusaders tabbed on Men's Soccer All-Tournament Team

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – On Tuesday the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) released the 2017 Men's Soccer All-Tournament Team. The University of Dallas placed five players on the list, which is the highest total in a single tournament.

Luke Schwarz (Tucson, Ariz.), who was the lone UD player to be named in 2016, earned his second recognition on the team. The senior was one-of-two captains listed, as Sean Taylor (Austin, Texas) received recognition as the other.

Forming the remaining trio were players that notched at least a point in the program's first ever SCAC Tournament win on Saturday in a 4-1 final over Southwestern University. Hunter Haugland (Bixby, Okla.) scored a pair of goals and Nat Kajiwara (Southlake, Texas) added one. The top scoring tandem each finished the campaign with a career-high 10 goals. Andrew Ciancone (Houston, Texas) dished an assist in the SCAC Semifinal match to give him four overall on the year.

The Crusaders advanced to their first ever SCAC Championship match and finished runners-up to No. 2 Trinity University. Dallas completed a 13-4-2 campaign and posted a conference-best 10-2-2 mark that lifted the program to its highest finish in the regular season for second place and a first round bye.
