THE LEAD

The University of Dallas men's soccer team continues its four-game home stand with two conference opponents this weekend. Dallas will play Texas Lutheran University on Friday at 2 p.m. and Southwestern University on Sunday at 12 p.m.

The Crusaders (10-2-2, 8-1-2 SCAC) are on a season-high four-game winning streak with three consecutive shutouts. The first three in that span were conference matches that helped the program win the most total since joining in 2012. Dallas also maintained its second place spot in the standings.

The most recent results for the Crusaders have been victories over Centenary College (1-0), Austin College (4-0), and Southwestern Adventist University (8-0).

- Eric Haigh (Frisco, Texas) won SCAC Defensive Player of the Week award, as his defensive play has anchored three straight shutouts and just over 290 minutes without a goal allowed.

- The junior has chipped in a bit on the offensive side of the ball with all five of his points occurring the last seven contests. This includes a trio of matches in a row with an assist in each road match and then first collegiate goal on Wednesday from a penalty kick.

- Sean Carlin (Puyallup, Wash.) reigns first in the league for save percentage with a .822 mark. He is also best in the conference for fewest goals allowed (8) and goals-against average (0.67). Additionally the freshman notched his second United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Goalie of the Week Honor.
