THE LEAD

The University of Dallas men's soccer team plays its final road matches of the regular season with two this weekend against Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) foes. The Crusaders play at Centenary College on Friday at 7 p.m. and then Austin College on Sunday at 2 p.m.

After this pair of contests, the Crusaders will break a stretch of 11 straight SCAC games with a non-conference battle on October 18th with Southwestern Adventist University. Dallas (7-2-2, 6-1-2 SCAC) has done well its first stretch of nine conference games, posting its best record at this juncture and is one win away from tying the most in 2015. The Crusaders are second in the standings with 20 points.

After 3-2 double overtime setback to No. 3 Trinity, which was their first loss in conference; the Crusaders bounced back to a 4-1 triumph over Schreiner University on Sunday. Hunter Haugland (Bixby, Okla.) had a multi-goal performance and added an assist.

UD NOTABLES

- Nat Kajiwara (Southlake, Texas) is tied third in the conference with six goals. He had a three consecutive game scoring streak ended on Sunday. The freshman did smack the game-tying goal at the time on Friday versus Trinity.

- Sean Carlin (Puyallup, Wash.) is third in the league for save percentage (.795) and goals-against average (0.83). The keeper is second for goals allowed with eight.

- Haugland moved up to second on the team in goals with just as many as Chima Ogueri (Garland, Texas). The sophomore now has a team-high four assists to tie the team-lead in points (12).

- Chase Reynolds (Southlake, Texas) punched his first two career goals with one per match on the home stand. Andrew Ciancone (Houston, Texas) contributed his first season goal and added a helper in Sunday's win.

- Caleb Strange (Argyle, Texas) improved to 2-1 with a winning decision on Sunday after a scoreless 45 minutes in the start.
