THE LEAD

The University of Dallas men's soccer team returns to the home confines for the first time since September 1st, and will play its first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) foes in Irving. Centenary College visits on Sept. 22nd at 5 p.m. and Austin College makes the trip from nearby Sherman on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Dallas (3-1-1, 2-0-1 SCAC) is off to a nice start after earning four points against the predicted top two teams in the preseason coaches' poll, Trinity University and Colorado College, on the road the last two weekends. This included the Crusaders 3-2 overtime upset at fourth ranked (at the time) Trinity University in what ended a 47-game winning streak at home dating back to 2013.

The Crusaders most recent successful match was Sunday at Schreiner University in a 1-0 result to propel them into a tie for first with Austin College in the conference standings.
