THE LEAD

The University of Dallas men's soccer team continues the last half of its four-game road trip with a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) matches on Friday and Sunday. The Crusaders play No. 4 Trinity University at 8 p.m. on Friday, and then Schreiner University at 2 p.m. two days later.

Dallas (1-1-1, 0-0-1 SCAC) gained a point last Friday in a scoreless draw at Colorado College to open conference action. A two-hour weather delay led to a late start, and then the match only lasted one overtime due to darkness at the field.


UD NOTABLES

- Dallas has played all three games in overtime this year. The only other time this many in a row it has occurred is 2006 from September 23rd-October 1st.

- The Crusaders have played 11 matches beyond regulation since 2014 with five each of the past two seasons. This includes both campaigns having a match in the SCAC Quarterfinals go extra time.

- Nat Kajiwara (Southlake, Texas) has two of the team's three goals and etched four points from them. This includes the golden goal in UD's overtime victory versus George Fox University.

- Tomas DePetris (Houston, Texas) is responsible for the other three points on the squad with an assist and his first collegiate goal as well at Howard Payne.

- Sean Carlin (Puyallup, Wash.) is 1-0-1 in 241:11 minutes and has 12 saves. He earned his first career shutout in last week's tie.

- The Crusaders dropped both matches to the defending SCAC Champions in 2016. Trinity won 2-0 in San Antonio.

- Dallas is 10-12-3 overall against the Mountaineers. UD prevailed 3-0 on the road last season and tied at Crusader Field 1-1.

- Luke Schwarz (Tucson, Texas) and Hunter Haugland (Bixby, Okla.) scored in the win. Jake Schnell (Austin, Texas) and Joseph Quiray (Sugar Land, Texas) added assists on Haugland's goal.
