The University of Dallas men's soccer team continues a six-game road trip with a pair hosted at Colorado College on September 8th and 9th. Dallas begins Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) action on Friday at 4 p.m. (CST) against the Tigers. On Saturday, UD faces Pacific Lutheran University in a neutral site tilt at 3 p.m. (CST).

UD SEASON STATS

SCOUTING COLORADO COLLEGE

Both of the Tigers (1-0-1) contests have gone to double overtime this season. In the opener against Concordia College (Minn.), Colorado College prevailed 1-0 on a game winner from Ben Green. The Black and Gold tied 0-0 last Sunday at University of St. Thomas. Goalkeeper Theo Hooker was named SCAC Defensive Player of the Week and has eight saves through 213:31 minutes and two shutouts.

The Tigers were selected second in the SCAC Preseason Poll and finished in that same spot last year. They also have received votes for the weekly NSCAA DIII Top 25 Coaches Poll.

Colorado College Season Stats

Dallas is 2-8-5 in the all-time series versus CC. Both games last season ended in draws, including a 1-1 result in Colorado Springs. Holdridge netted the game-tying goal in the remaining 23 seconds of regulation. Junior Trae Hampton (Paducah, Ky.) garnered an assist.

SCOUTING PACIFIC LUTHERAN

The Lutes are 1-1-1 on the season, with the most recent match ending in a 1-all tie against Occidental College on Monday. Diego Aceves tallied the lone PLU goal and Tanner Premo nabbed six saves in 110 minutes between the posts. Saturday's matchup will be the first neutral site for the Lutes, who are 1-1 away from their friendly confines so far. Eddie Na, who assisted Aceve's goal in the last outing, paces the squad with three goals and assists for a team-high nine points.

Pacific Lutheran Season Stats

The lone meeting between these programs was in 2015 for both teams' season openers. The Lutes won 2-1 with a pair of goals in the first half. Na and Joe Sammartino are both returners in that match that found the back of the net. UD's only player to record at least a point was Colton Allen ('16), who graduated. Gamueda did record four saves in 90 minutes.

UP NEXT

Dallas plays its remaining 13 matches against SCAC opponents. First up is a pair of road matches to complete the season-long stint on Sept. 16 at Schreiner University and Sept. 18 at Trinity University.
