Crusaders Defeated by Knights at Home

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men's lacrosse team lost their non-conference matchup with Calvin University 23-0 Thursday evening.  They fall to a 1-2 record on the season.

It didn't take long for the Knikghts to open the scoring, finding the back of the net after just over a minute.  They would double their lead a minute later, and triple it another minute after that.  The Crusaders had stretches of two and three minutes that they were able to keep the Knights from scoring, but the first period would end up being their most prolific as they took an 8-0 lead into the second quarter.

Dallas hung tight with Calvin for the first four minutes of the second quarter, but three goals in a two minute span made the lead 11-0, and two more in the last five minuntes made it 13-0 at the half.  The Knights padded their lead with seven goals in the third quarter, and the severely lighthanded Crusaders were run ragged plying the entire game with 10 men, they were able to limit the Knights to three goals in the fourth quarter, managing to fire off quite a few shots themselves.

Joseph Roberts and Jackson Schaub both led all players with six ground balls each.  Roberts also led all players with four caused turnovers.
