Jameson and Frederick Named All-SCAC 1st Team; Gibbons and Trout III Make 2nd Team

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletics Conference (SCAC) released the 2019 All-Conference Men's Lacrosse Team on Tuesday. Four members of the University of Dallas were tabbed for honors, including a pair on the first team and second team.

Headlining the quartet on All-SCAC First Team were Tucker Jameson (Mechanicsville, Md.) and Jake Frederick (Coppell, Texas). Bogar Trout III (Tecumseh, Mich.) and Austin Gibbons (St. Charles, Ill.) earned All-SCAC Second Team.

These are the first all-conference selections for the Crusaders in the SCAC.

Jameson was one-of-five conference attackers to make first team. He paced Dallas offensively with career-highs in goals (35) and points (44). The sophomore rattled off eight multi-scoring games, claimed seven hat tricks, picked up 33 ground balls, and led the team with 57 shots on cage. His shots on goal percentage was 80.3.

Frederick led the squad and notched the single-season assists record for back-to-back seasons. His 16 total set the new mark, and pushed his career record set in 2018 to twice as many with 32. Frederick was selected as a midfielder, and boasted a personal-best 18 goals along with 34 points. His 49 ground balls matched a team-high.

Gibbons made the second team as the lone attacker. The freshman put together a great season for the Crusaders, scoring 24 goals (third on team) and delivering 14 assists for 38 points (tied 2nd on team). Gibbons gave seven assists versus Hardin-Simmons University to notch the single-game record for the program.

Trout III got on the second team as a defender. The junior became the all-time leader in caused turnovers for UD with 50. 16 of them came this spring to lead the squad and was one-of-two players in double-digits for that category. Trout III added 16 ground balls and even scored a goal while making two assists on the offensive side of the ball.
