FIRST FACEOFF
The University of Dallas men's lacrosse team embarks on its final road trip of the 2018 season with two matches in Massachusetts. On Saturday, the Crusaders will be at Becker College and then head to Salem State University for a Monday matinee.
Dallas prevailed 12-4 last week in a home contest with Carroll University. The Crusaders sit at .500 and have tied the program record for wins with the 2015 squad.
UDCRUSADER HEADLINES
- The Crusaders have scored 95 goals this season, which is the most since the 2015 team also totaled that amount. The highest amount is 106 from 2012.
- Tyler Smith (Snoqualmie, Wash.) continues his career season with 27 goals, eight assists, and 35 points. Tucker Jameson (Mechanicsville, Md.) is the other UD player to eclipse 20 goals.
- The top scoring duo are also shooting at or above 50 percent. Jameson (.541) ranks 13th among NCAA Division III, and Smith (.500) checks in tied at 28th.
- UD is tied 12th for the top Man-Down Defense in the nation with a .862-clip.
- J.P. Hasson (Fairfax, Va.) rounds out the top three scorers with 17. His 11 assists tie a team-high with Jake Frederick (Coppell, Texas) and lift him second in points with 28.

- Since claiming a season-opening victory over Lyndon State by a goal (9-8), the Hawks have dropped five straight, including four at home.
- Matthew Guerin is the top scorer with 11 goals.
- Jack Schneider and Avyay Chaganty each have 11 points. Schneider has posted nine goals, while Chaganty is the team leader in assists with six.
- Trey McMillen is the primary goalkeeper with 360 minutes (6 starts) logged. He has made 82 saves, but has a goals allowed average of 16.17.
- Becker is a member of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC). Guerin was named Rookie of the Week earlier in the month.

- As a team, Salem State has compiled 31 assists on its 48 goals. The team also edges opponents by 30 (168-138) in groundballs.
- Chris Schaub has nabbed 58 saves in 330:56 minutes between the pipes.
