Paciotti and Lehner in Top 10 After Day One of Alamo City Classic

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Dallas men's golf team completed day one of competition in the Alamo City Classic hosted by Trinity University on Monday.  There are five competing schools, but nine competing teams as Trinity, Texas Lutheran, and Mary Hardin-Baylor are all fielding two teams in the event.  The Crusaders sit in fifth place at +14 after two rounds of play, one stroke ahead of Mary Hardin-Baylor (B) and six strokes behind Trinity.  Schreiner University and Mary Hardin-Baylor currently share the lead at +3 .

Karsten Paciotti currently leads the pack for Dallas.  He had himself a blistering start in round one with five birdies on the front nine.  He would finish round one at -1 and shot an even 71 in round two to remain there; he is tied for fourth place, just a single stroke from the top three and three strokes from the leader, William Sammons of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Jackson Lehner isn't far behind at +1 on the day.  He is in the top five amongst all golfers with eight birdies across two rounds and climbed four spots on the leaderboard with a par finish in round two to catapult himself into the top 10 (T7).  Rex Soulliere is right there with him at +2 on the day with six birdies, currently tied for 13th.  Mason Hitt is tied for 34th at +10, Trey Schneider is in 38th at +12, and Anthony Prudence is in 45th at +22 with seven birdies on the day.

The tournament will conclude with one round tomorrow at The Quarry Golf Club.
