Schneider Takes Third in Crusader Invitational

THACKERVILLE, Okla. - The University of Dallas men's golf team hosted their final event of the fall, the Crusader Invitational, at the WinStar Golf Course, posting a 36-hole score of 595 (+19) to finish tied for third place with Howard Payne University.  Sitting in second place after day one, the Crusaders finished three strokes behind second place St. Thomas, and seven strokes ahead of fifth place Mary Hardin-Baylor.  

After 18 holes, Trey Schneider was just one stroke off the lead after shooting a 70 in round one.  The day one leader, Patrick Smetek of St. Thomas, woudl tumble down the standings to eighth place on day two.  Schneider was still well within reach of the lead on day two, but would finish tied for third with his teammate Jackson Lehner at +1 for the tournament.  Karsten Paciotti finsihed tied for 16th with a 36-hole total of 150, shooting 74 and 76.
