McNeill Sits in a Tie for First After Day One at the Centenary/Hal Sutton Invite

BOSSIER CITY, La. - The University of Dallas men's golf team completed Round One of the Centenary/Hal Sutton Invite at The Golf Club at Stonebridge on Monday. Dallas completed individually in the tournament. Seth McNeill (Plano, Texas) matched a season-best Low Round One score with a 73 (+1 over Par). He currently sits in a tie for first place after 18 holes.

McNeill ranks above all participants playing individually. He also shot a 73 this season at the Rhodes College Fall Classic held in September. McNeill shot even on Par 3 and Par 5 holes and plus one on Par 4's on the day. He notched three birdies and 12 pars. Both marks are tied for second with players on the course.

Trey Schneider (Mooresville, N.C.) also competed for Dallas. Schneider sits in a tie for 32nd place after shooting an 83 in his collegiate debut. Schneider shot plus one on Par 5 holes.

Reed Balcerowicz of Centenary College and Darryl Fulgham of Tyler Junior College are the two opponents tied with McNeill for the tournament lead.

Individual Standings

East Texas Baptist, Tyler Junction College, and Williams Baptist sit one-two-three in the team competition, respectively.
