Montalvo Named SCAC Co-Golfer-of-the-Week

Emilio Montalvo of The University of Dallas, a sophomore from Mexico City, Mexico, has been selected the SCAC Men's Co-Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played through October 2nd.

Montalvo finished in a three-way tie for fifth out of 59 athletes after jumping 10 spots following day one at the Crusader Intercollegiate hosted by Mary Hardin-Baylor. The sophomore opened the tournament with a 78 and closed out the event with a 73 for a 151 total.

The fifth-place finish is tied for the best in Montalvo's career as he has led Dallas in all three tournaments to start the season and dropped his scoring average nearly five strokes from his freshman season.
