Men's Golf Played Two Rounds of Rhodes College Fall Classic on Sunday

TUNICA NATIONAL, Miss. – The University of Dallas men's golf team completed two rounds on Sunday at the Rhodes College Fall Classic. It is a big field of teams at the Tunica National, with 20 teams competing – host Rhodes College includes a B team.

At the end of 36 holes, Dallas is in 14th place with a 593. Emilio Montalvo (Mexico City, Mexico) led the Crusaders with his personal-best in a low round 68 to help keep the score down at 304. Montalvo scored a 69 in his previous round a week ago. The other four golfers for UD carded a 78, 80, and 81.

The second round saw all-around improvement from a quartet of Crusaders with them contributing to a 289. Robby Evans (Flower Mound, Texas) tallied the lowest score in that 18-hole round with a 70. Montalvo, Seth McNeill (Plano, Texas), and Erik Hamm (Brentwood, Tenn.) each posted a 73.

Montalvo is the highest placed UD golfer in the standings tied for 8th with a 141. He was one stroke away from matching the Low Two Round record by classmate Evans from last year's performance at the Alamo City Classic (Oct. 16-17).

Dallas wraps up the tournament on Monday with a third round.
