Men's Golf 4th after 1st Completed Round of John Bohmann Memorial Invitational

SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas men's golf team opened the fall season at the John Bohmann Memorial Invitational on Monday. The teams completed the first round and were in progress on round two before weather halted play.

Dallas shot a 297 team score in the opening round to sit in fourth place. Concordia University (284), Texas Lutheran University (288), and Southwestern University (290) form the current top three in the standings.

Emilio Montalvo (Mexico City, Mexico) posted a 71 in the first round to lead the Crusaders. He is tied fifth individually and was one stroke off matching a personal-best from the same course in his first collegiate tournament nearly a year ago. He also led the team with five birdies – second by overall competitors.

Robby Evans (Flower Mound, Texas) also got off to a strong start with a 72 carded to put him in a tie for seventh. Evans did lead the Crusaders with 13 Pars. Erik Hamm (Brentwood, Tenn.) – the team's number 1 seeded – posted a 76.

Individual Standings

Dallas will look to finish the second round and third round on Tuesday.
