Dallas finished fifth in 2017 at the conference championship, but have shown flashes of winning during the current campaign. The Crusaders participated in several tournaments this year that have included fellow conference opponents: Southwestern University, Texas Lutheran University, Schreiner University, and Trinity University. They enter play ranked 50th.

Robby Evans (Flower Mound, Texas) enters the tournament having posted the lowest average score (76.45). His record-breaking low round (65) last fall at the Alamo City Classic stands out among the freshman's achievements. He also won first at that tournament.

Jacob Wade (Magnolia, Texas) has demonstrated to be the best shooter this spring slate for UD. His 77.05 average score places him second overall, but the sophomore has led the Crusaders in three tournaments, including the past two. His lowest spring score was a 70 at the Texas Cup, and his personal best was a 69 at the UMHB Fall Invitational (Oct. 2nd-3rd) that matched a school low round record at the time.

Thomas Schuberg (Camarillo, Calif.) rounds out the top three average scores (77.10).

Schuberg, Wade, Erik Hamm (Brentwood, Tenn.), and Matthew Nickel (Wichita, Kan.) competed in last year's tournament. Hamm posted the best score with a 77.

Head Coach Garrett Smith has depth on his nine-man roster that features five newcomers. In addition to Evans, Will Doctor (Houston, Texas), Seth McNeill (Plano, Texas), and Emilio Montalvo (Mexico City, Mexico) are all players that have competed on the links this season.
