2 Rounds of Pinecrest Invitational Completed on Monday

LONGVIEW, Texas – The University of Dallas men's golf team completed 36 holes on Monday in the Pinecrest Intercollegiate held at Pinecrest Country Club. After shooting a 301 in the first round, the Crusaders posted a 304 total to tie host school LeTourneau University for 5th place with a 605.

Dallas is only behind one other NCAA Division III program, University of Texas at Tyler, who are third with a 599. Bethany College (KS) leads with a 580, followed by Tyler Junior College with a 586.

Thomas Schuberg (Camarillo, Calif.) produced his best round of the spring season with a 71 in his turn through the course to tie for third. Even with a 76 the second round, the junior remains atop for Dallas with a 147 overall and +5 par. He sits eighth in the standings.

Jacob Wade (Magnolia, Texas) carded a 72 in the second round to lower his score by six strokes and etch a 150 through the first day. He tied sixth in the standings on the second game of 18 holes. Wade also posted a team-best six Birdies, which was tied third most in the round.

Robby Evans (Flower Mound, Texas) was one point above Wade with a 151.
