Evans shoots Career-Low 71 in 1st Round of UMHB Fall Invitational; Men's Golf Tied 6th Currently

KILLEEN, Texas – The University of Dallas men's golf team is tied for sixth out of 10 teams after one round of 18 holes on Monday in the UMHB Fall Invitational at Stonetree Golf Club. The Crusaders totaled a 305.

Robby Evans (Flower Mound, Texas) scored the lowest score for the team with a personal-best 71 for fifth place overall. The freshman bested his previous season lowest round score by two strokes from the third round last Tuesday in the Al Jones Memorial.

Will Doctor (Houston, Texas) and Jacob Wade (Magnolia, Texas) each posted a 77. The duo are tied for 24th.

Texas Lutheran University leads the team standings with a 290. Another fellow Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) school, Trinity University, is second with a 292. Hardin-Simmons University rounds out the top three with a 298. 

The top individual score on the day was 70. A quartet of golfers etched that mark with Wyatt Blezinger and Matthew McArthur from TLU, Dawson Dally from Trinity, and Nick Vella from Hardin-Simmons.
