February 24, 2024

SHREVEPORT, La. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) released the Men's Basketball All-SCAC teams this afternoon following the conclusion of the second semifinal between Centenary College and the University of St. Thomas.  Three student-athletes from the University of Dallas were selected to this year's teams.

Kelton Coleman (Fy., G) and Johny Olmsted (So., G) both received honorable mentions.

In conference play, Olmsted and Coleman were tied for the team's second best scorers, each averaging 13.3 points per game.  Olmsted averaged 16.9 points per 40 minutes, shot 35.3% from the field, and was second on the team with 2.7 assists per game.  He was also the team's best free throw shooter (10 attempts min.) by a wide margin, shooting 82.6% from the charity stripe.

Coleman was also selected to the All-Freshman team for his performance in conference play.  Coleman was arguably Dallas' most efficient scorer, leading the team with 27.9 points per 40 minutes, averaging 19.1 minutes per game as the Crusaders' go-to sixth man off the bench.  He was also one of the best three-point shooters in the conference, finishing second in the SCAC with a 43.9% shooting percentage from beyond the arc.

Jack Boyle (Sr., F) secured his second All-SCAC First Team selection as one of the premier players in the conference.  Boyle was top five in multiple categories, including points per game (17.2), rebounds per game (11.4), field goal percentage (55.1), and led the conference in blocks per game (2.3).  Along the way, he became UD's all-time career leader in both blocks and rebounds.
