Crusaders Come Back to Defeat Colorado

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men's basketball team won their conference matchup with Colorado College 77-72 Friday evening.  They improve to 5-12 on the year and 3-6 in conference play.

It was an exciting game from start to finish, with the tems trading blows for nearly the entirety of the game.  The first half in particular was quite even, with 11 lead changes nd neither team ever leading by more than four points.  Letrell Toussaint was the talisman for Dallas in the first half, with nine points after just six minutes of play, though he was forced to miss the rest of the half having gotten into some early foul trouble.

Trailing 44-40 at the half, the Crusaders came out of the break a bit cold and found themselves trailing by nine after making just one field goal in the first seven minutes.  But they immediately responded by going on a 12-point run to reclaim the lead and put the Tigers on their heels.  It was anybody's ball game from there, but Dallas slowly pulled away in the final minutes of the game to see out the 77-72 win.

Toussaint would go on to lead the Crusaders with 19 points and nine rebounds, going 9-10 from the free throw line.  Jai Love had a big game as well, recording his first double-double of the season with 16 points and a team-leading 10 rebounds.
