FIRST TIP
The University of Dallas men's basketball team will open Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play at the friendly confines of the Maher Center as the Crusaders host the University of St. Thomas (TX) on Friday. First tip is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. UD then will host Centenary College of Louisiana on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. UD last played on December 7th at Hendrix College in the second matchup versus the Warriors on the season. Dallas fell 77-54 in that matchup, but now turns its attention to the important conference portion of its schedule.

- Jai Love (St. Louis, Mo.) continues to lead all SCAC players averaging 6.3 assists-per-game.
- John Russell (Bossier City, La.) has the fifth-best field goal percentage among SCAC players shooting 59.0 percent.
- Dallas is averaging 42.2 rebounds-per-game (3rd SCAC).
- Cameran Hyde (Missouri City, Texas) leads the Crusaders with a 52.9 three-point percentage.
- UD is paced by Michael Wambsganss (Denver, Colo.) who is averaging 14.8 points-per-game.

- The University of St. Thomas (6-0) is averaging 100.0 points-per-game leading all SCAC teams and dismantling Howard Payne University 104-53 in its last outing.
- Joshua Sanchez leads the conference with 72.7% field goal percentage. Kennard Robinson and Cameron Gims are second and third, respectively with a 64.0% and 63.0% field goal percentage.
- UST has a scoring margin of +31.2 through its first six games.
