Sarrat Claims his 1st USCAA Player of the Week Honor

NORFOLK, Va. - Michael Sarrat of the University of Dallas earns this week's Men's Division I Basketball Player of the Week honors for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). He is the second member of Dallas to earn the accolade this season, with Tom Kaiser winning the other. The senior ended his career by averaging 15.7 points over his final three games for the Crusaders.

In his final home game, Sarrat had a season-best 23 points including the go-ahead field goal and the and-one free-throw to secure a 101-98 victory over Hendrix College.

The Colleyville, Texas, native, completes his four years at Dallas ranked 11th all-time in career points with 1,071. He became the 15th player in the program to eclipse 1,000 points on February 5, versus Centenary College. Sarrat also tied fifth in the program for games played (103) and sixth in three-point field goals (148). This season, he was two points shy of matching a personal best, but was second in scoring with 319 and averaged 12.8 a contest.
