Dallas Mens Basketball Wins Battle with Hendrix College Warriors

The UD men's basketball team jumped to an early 30-13 lead in the first half and never looked back as they maintained a healthy lead until regulation expired. The offense shot 56 percent from the field in the first half hitting over three times as many shots as Hendrix while forcing the Warriors to commit twice as many turnovers. The 81 point total marked the second highest tally of the season.

Senior shooting guard Jim Norton (Louisville, KY/Holy Angels Academy) and junior forward Noah Pettit (Fairfax, CA/Sir Francis Drake) combined for 40 points on 15-28 shooting from the floor and 4 steals. Norton had a team high 21 points while adding 2 steals, 2 assists, and a block, and Pettit recorded 19 while registering 2 steals. Senior point guard Jeff Pritchard (Oak Grove, LA/Frisco H.S.) cashed in another 12 points and led the team in both assists with 5 and steals with 3. Senior forward Travis Ekmark (Yokosuka, Japan/Nile C. Kinnick H.S.) swallowed up a team high 9 rebounds and added another 4 assists.

Men's basketball will resume play on Wednesday, January 6, at 8:00pm when they host in-state rival Austin College in the Maher Center.
