Hot Shooting Yellow Jackets Sting Dallas Crusaders

The visiting LeTourneau University Yellow Jackets sank 51.9% of their shots including 46.7% from beyond the arc as the overpowered Dallas offensively for the 79-68 win. UD shot over 38% from the field and won the turnover battle but struggled to contain LeTourneau on the defensive side of the court.

Senior forward Peter Popovich (St. Louis, MO/Gateway Academy) dropped a career high 23 points going 8 for 12 from the floor and a perfect 3 for 3 from three point territory. Senior shooting guard Jim Norton (Louisville, KY/Holy Angels Academy) followed Popovich with 17 of his own while leading the team in rebounds with 11. Senior point guard Jeff Pritchard (Oak Grove, LA/Frisco H.S.) rounded up 1 block, 2 assists, 11 points, 5 rebounds, and a team high 4 steals. Leading the team in assists with 7 and second in steals with 3 was freshman guard Drew Assinesi (Pasadena, CA/La Salle H.S.). Senior forward Travis Ekmark (Yokosuka, Japan/Nile C. Kinnick H.S.) contributed 2 blocks, 2 steals, 3 assists, and 7 total points.
