Baseball Booster Club Receives St. Sebastian Award

IRVING, Texas – On Friday, April 19, the University of Dallas Baseball Booster Club was recognized between the games of UD's conference doubleheader versus Southwestern University with the St. Sebastian Award. Officers of the Booster Club were given plaques that signified this group becoming the fourth time this award has been given.

Athletics Director Dick Strockbine praised, "Four years ago when our senior class of baseball student-athletes entered UD as freshmen we did not realize that we would also be getting a group of parents who would be transformative for our baseball program."

"This group organized a baseball booster group that has provided us with a seating area along the first base line, upgraded the batting cages, and provided the team with a clubhouse that is a centerpiece for the program," Strockbine listed as some of the many endeavors the UD Baseball Booster Club has produced.
