Wallace Earns Spot on D3baseball.com Team of the Week (RP)
IRVING, Texas – Jamie Wallace (Crockett, Texas) was named to D3baseball.com Team of the Week as a relief pitcher for games of March 25-31. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors.
Wallace earned the win with three shutout innings of relief in a 4-3, 12-inning upset for the University of Dallas baseball team over No. 5 Texas Lutheran University on Sunday. Wallace entered the extra-inning contest after classmate Andrew Magness had hurled a complete game in his best career start.
Wallace kept things rolling on the mound for the left-handed duo, as he did not allow a hit and struck out three. He improved to 4-2 on the season and delivered his third scoreless outing this season – all at home.
This is the third season in a row that the Crusaders have had a member named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week. Jordan Stickler (2017), Josh Abalos (2018), and Nathan Patton (2018) earned the selections.
