Patton Selected on D3Baseball.com Team of the Week a 2nd Time

IRVING, Texas – Nathan Patton (McKinney, Texas) from the University of Dallas baseball team was named to D3baseball.com Team of the Week a second time this season. It is the third time the Crusaders have had a representative on the weekly honor. The sophomore was selected for third base after posting strong numbers over four home games last week, including SCAC-opening weekend to No. 20 Centenary College.

In the first game with the defending conference champions, Patton clubbed two home runs – the first of his collegiate career. Patton also drove in three runs and scored that same amount of times.

For the overall week, Patton reached double figures for hits (10) with a double, the pair of homers, five RBIs, and four runs scored. His slash line was an impressive .556/.556/.944. Patton fielded 1.000 at the hot corner with 14 assists, two putouts, and helped turn one double play.

On the campaign, Patton leads the squad with a .470 batting average, 31 hits, six doubles, and 25 RBIs. He has scored 19 runs for third highest on the team and is slugging .682 overall.
