FIRST PITCH
The University of Dallas baseball team opens Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play with the defending champion Centenary College. The series was originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, but rain in the forecast later this weekend created a change for the single-inning game to be moved to Friday at 3 p.m. The doubleheader on Saturday remains unchanged.
Dallas (7-9) has won four of its last six games, including its first series wins of the campaign. The Crusaders are 5-1 at home this year, and are coming off a 10-6 setback to Blackburn College on Monday.
UDCRUSADERS HEADLINES
- Jordan Stickler's (Grand Rapids, Mich.) on-base streak is now up to 47 games since 2017. He is the only player in double-digits for walks (20) and has been hit by a pitch six times. The returning steals leader also has swiped 15 in 18 chances to pace the SCAC.
- Nathan Patton (McKinney, Texas) holds team-highs in hits (23), doubles (5), and RBI (21).
- Seth Hanson (Apache Juncture, Ariz.) blasted two home runs in the last series and increased his overall total to three.
- Nick Goehring (Phoenix, Ariz.) has not allowed an earned run in his past 8.2 innings spanning four games in relief. He has struck out 12 during that stretch and has that total overall.
- Tyler Montemayor (Boerne, Texas) has started game one the last three series. He is coming off a gem where he logged a 7-inning, complete game with one run on four hits allowed. Montemayor fanned a personal-best seven.

- Seven different players have posted double-digits in the hit column. Cole Lavergne and Chris Zapata have the team's only homers with one apiece. Cameron Guin is the doubles leader with six.
- Kaleb Kirk has spun a 1.12 ERA to go with a 3-1 record in 24 innings pitched. He has fanned 23, while fellow starter Matthew Devillier has sent down 22.

Dallas has non-conference matchup with Arlington Baptist College on Mar. 21st to cap a seven-game home stand. After that, the Crusaders play their first road conference games at Southwestern University with a doubleheader at 12 p.m. on the 24th and the series finale at 1 p.m. on the 25th.
