Patton named to D3baseball.com Team of the Week

IRVING, Texas – Nathan Patton (McKinney, Texas) from the University of Dallas baseball team was named to D3baseball.com Team of the Week on Monday evening. In the second Team of the Week selections this spring, the Crusaders placed a member from their infield on it. Patton made the selection at third base, and a week ago his teammate on the left side, Josh Abalos (Lewisville, Texas) was named for short stop.

Patton batted .600 (3-5) in a doubleheader last week at Howard Payne University. He smacked two doubles, drove in two, and scored four times. His fielding percentage was 1.000 at the hot corner with four assists.

On the season, Patton is hitting a .520 average, slugging .720, and reached base at a .606-clip. He is ranked second on the squad in total hits (13) and tied for the team lead in doubles (3). He has driven in a team-high 13 runs batted in.

Dallas resumes action this weekend with three games at the Millsaps Tournament February 23th -25th.
