Stickler and Voss sweep USCAA Baseball Players of the Week honors

NORFOLK, Va. – The University of Dallas baseball team swept the United States Collegiate Athletic Conference (USCAA) Players of the Week honors from games through March 19. Jordan Stickler (Grand Rapids, Mich.) earned Hitter of the Week and Conrad Voss (Corona, Calif.) was named Pitcher of the Week. This is the first time in their careers this duo has earned an accolade from the USCAA.

Stickler produced a huge weekend at Austin College with a hit and run scored in every matchup. The outfielder snagged season-highs with a 5-for-5, two RBI and three runs scored in the Crusaders largest win of the campaign 14-3. Stickler's big series raised his batting average to a team-best .348-clip. The speedster leads the USCAA in stolen bases (14) and also is the team leader in hits (23) and runs scored (21).

Voss dialed up a quality start in his sixth appearance of his rookie campaign in Sunday's victory. The left-hander tossed six innings and allowed one earned run on five hits. He walked one and tied a personal best eight strikeouts. The other contest Voss matched that amount was his first career win February 11 against Hardin-Simmons University. Voss ranks fourth in the USCAA with 30 strikeouts.

Dallas returns to the diamond on March 25-26 at Centenary College for a three-game series.
