NOTABLE STATISTICS

- Luke Boylson (Fairview, Texas) ripped two-of-four Dallas hits in the game. Both were doubles.

- Jordan Stickler (Grand Rapids, Mich.) added a 1-for-3 with a stolen base. He is 4-for-4 on the year in steals.

- JP Fasone (Englewood, Colo.) also remained perfect on the base paths with his 3rd swipe in as many games.

- Ryan Hammonds (Cedar Hill) tossed 7 innings for the third start in row. He surrendered two runs on six hits, while striking out five and walking none.

- His counterpart on the mound was Jacob Dubs, who earned the win with 6 innings of two-hit ball. He danced around four walks and fanned eight. Trey Sledge struck out four and threw the last three innings in the save.

- Bennett Notestine led the offense with a 3-for-4 day, three steals, and an RBI. He scored a run as well on Levi Greenberg's RBI. Greenberg posted the other multi-hit game.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Dallas put the first two runners within the first three plate appearances of the game. Stickler singled up the middle and stole second. After a strikeout, Seth Hanson (Apache Junction, Ariz.) walked to keep his streak of reaching base safely alive at six games. The Crusaders could do no further damage.

In the third inning, the Crusaders left another pair of runners on. Fasone walked and stole second with one out. He then ended up on third thanks to a wild pitch. However a strikeout, walk, and then fly out to left subsequently finished the frame.

The Lynx got across home in the bottom part of the inning. Bill Munson was hit by a pitch and had the other stolen bag for Rhodes. Notestine drove him in on a one-out single to center field. Notestine later would score on Greenberg's base knock in the 6th to double the advantage.

Dallas never stranded more than a runner from the 4th inning on. Paul Scioli (Lubbock, Texas) recorded the other hit by coming off the bench in the 8th with two outs. However after the single, Scioli would not advance further. In UD's final turn to bat, Boylson doubled to left center to begin things. Despite a two-out passed ball the Crusaders did not have enough to move him around the diamond and potentially cut into the margin. Dallas left nine runners in the game.
