Freshman outfielder Tug McRoberts named to 2013 SCAC Baseball 'All-Tournament' Team

GEORGETOWN, Texas - University of Dallas freshman outfielder Tug McRoberts has been selected by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) to the 2013 SCAC Baseball All-Tournament Team. 

McRoberts (Beaumont, Texas) is Dallas' sole honoree and he was also named to the 2013 All-SCAC Baseball Honorable Mention Team. 

Holding fort in left field for the third-seeded Crusaders in the 2013 SCAC Championship Tournament, McRoberts hit .538 (7-for-13), produced an RBI, scored two runs and walked. He also boasted a .538 slugging percentage and a .571 on-base percentage.

McRoberts was the only designated hitter to find the honorable mention team. The 5-foot-11 left-handed batter finished ranked as follows in the SCAC: a .378 batting average (fourth), 13 stolen bases (fifth), a .444 on-base percentage (sixth), four sacrifice hits (sixth), 42 hits (13th), 25 runs (14th) and a .405 slugging percentage (14th).
