Letter winner, Association of Division III Independents All-Independent Pitcher of the Year & First Team, American Baseball Coaches DIII All-West Region Third Team, Ranked 20th in NCAA DIII with 8 wins.

PERSONAL: Philip is the son of Lois and Bill Carkhuff and was born on September 1, 1988. He has two brothers and is a Classics major at UD. His favorite movie is The Natural, his favorite athletes are Rick Ankiel and Josh Hamilton, and his role models are his father and older brother Bejay. In his free time he enjoys reading, thinking about baseball, being a fan of the most storied franchise in NFL history...the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his girlfriend. His goals are to find a job doing what he loves, get married, and start a family.
