Caluda, Carkhuff Named USCAA Honorable Mention Players of the Week

Freshman outfielder Nico Caluda (New Orleans, LA/Jesuit H.S.) is this week's United States Collegiate Athletic Association Honorable Mention Baseball Player of the Week. In five games, Caluda went 10-17 with ten hits, three doubles, and three RBI. He is joined by junior righthander Philip Carkhuff (Marietta, GA/The  Lovett School) who was picked as the Honorable Mention Baseball Pitcher of the Week. Philip had the winning touch last week, appearing in nine and a third innings, recording a victory and two saves. He managed to strike out eleven batters, while holding opponents Briarcliffe (twice) and Central Baptist College to a .173 batting average.
