University of Dallas – Emergency Action Plan
When instructed to do so by an Athletic Trainer, dial 911.
Give the following information:
- Your name, title, location, and your telephone number.
- Describe the emergency situation.
- Describe the current state of the athlete and the care being given.
- Give the exact location of the injured athlete (e.g. soccer field, baseball field).
- Indicate the easiest location for EMS to enter:
- University of Dallas
- 1845 E. Northgate Drive, Irving, TX 75062
- Turn into University entrance located on Gorman Drive
- Remain on the line until instructed to disconnect.
Once disconnected, call campus safety at (972) 265-5911, or find campus safety officer present at all home games.
- Inform them of emergency location and type of emergency.
- Direct them to guide EMS to proper location on campus.
Emergency Personnel:
Certified athletic trainers and physicians that may be present during games. Other individuals that may assist in care, (if appropriately CPR/First Aid Certified), are athletic coaches, and/or athletic department administrators.
Emergency Equipment Location:
The red splint bag is located inside Maher Center, weight room closet.
AED’s are located in Maher Center North wall at entrance of basketball court, Athletic Training Room, and inside auxiliary building closet located between practice soccer field and lacrosse field.
All emergency equipment will be located on the field during competition.
