USCAA Track & Field Player of the Week Honors Return to McGuirk & Wilgenbusch

NORFOLK, Va. - The University of Dallas track and field team had a pair of runners tabbed United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Player of the Week for the second time this season and this month. It was the same duo as before, with Kevin McGuirk (Front Royal, Va.) on the men's side and Anna Wilgenbusch (St. Paul, Minn.) on the women's team.

In the 5,000 Meters event at the Texas Invitational, Wilgenbusch broke a school record (18:54.61) which had been in place since February 2005 and set two new personal bests in that event and in the 1,500 Meters.

For the fourth consecutive meet, McGurik broke his personal record and school record in the 400 Meter Hurdles (56.41).  He finished 8th in the event.  The Virginia native then set another personal best time in the 110 Meters Hurdles while completing his 11th track and field event in his three years at Dallas.

Dallas competes next time in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championships on April 26-27 in San Antonio, Texas.
