Five UD Athletes Inducted Into Phi Beta Kappa

Five University of Dallas student-athletes are scheduled to be inducted join fellow students as they become newest members of Phi Beta Kappa this Friday, May 14 at an induction ceremony in the Lynch Auditorium.  Cross country runners and seniors Greg Pivarunas (Elma, NY/St. Francis H.S.) and Angela Cuba (Holliday, TX/Holliday H.S.) are joined by junior Theresa Smart (Peoria, IL/Richwoods H.S.).  Smart is a two time winner of the UD Scholar-Athlete Award who has lettered three times, and Pivarunas and Cuba were also track athletes at UD.  Pivarunas and Cuba were both four year letter winners during their time on the cross country trails, while Pivarunas lettered three times on the track and Cuba lettered two times.  The trio is joined by senior golfers Kyle Callahan and Andrew Oswik.  Callahan garnered three letters and Oswik claimed one his senior season on the course.
